Objectives of the Workshop
The objectives of the workshop were to:
- 1. Define and refine the problem of enhancing and expanding
the opportunities for undergraduate research, particularly at
lower
levels of the curriculum;
- Consider alternative models of undergraduate
research through presentations of model programs; and
- Formulate
specific recommendations for a National Science Foundation
program solicitation for URCs.
